Since I purchased my Note 8, I've been looking for good screen protectors. So far I've tried at least a dozen tempered glass, not a single one was satisfactory. They all had annoying problems in different way. Some of the most annoying issues are ruining touch sensivity and distorting or blocking edge display. The cause of difficulty finding a perfect screen protector is obviously the curved display. This makes quite difficult for all sort of screen protectors to stick properly on curved edge. My next phone has to be flat. No more curved display for me.
Anyway, as of today, I've finally given up on all tempered glass. Alternatively I was looking into Whitestone Dome, but this thing isn't officially available here in Thailand. I'll have to import it, which means I'll have no warranty on top of paying much higher price (mainly international shipping/duty) for already expensive $50 screen protector. After searching around, I thinkg I've found a very good alternative. It's called Gorilla UV for Note 8. Judging from pictures on their official website, it's contents look very similar to Whitesone Dome. Maybe they're from the same supplier. The best part is it costs about 1,000 Baht. That's roughly $30 USD. For this price, I think I'm going to order and give it a try. Btw, as far as I know, this item is currenly available only in Thailand.
