Shinhotaka Ropeway (新穂高ロープウェイ) in Takayama, Gifu
Due to strong low pressure and cold front from yesterday, this whole area is under heavy snow and strong wind. They cancelled its ropeway operations from afternoon.
By the time I got there, there was no other visitor at all. Only employees.
I should have called before I left the hotel, because I had to go through serious winter driving over the mountains...
Whiteout. Visibility was near zero.
After the ropeway, I headed to my next hotel in Gotayama
Expressway was also covered in snow
I spent my whole day driving around in some of the worst conditions, and ended up not getting to see anything. But I at least I get to enjoy worst winter driving...
